what we stand for
Our CommitmentTo Rights For TheMarginalised
Adhikaar Jaano is a Newsletter series published by BDS Samabhabona. With Adhikaar Jaano, we are dedicated to building a comprehensive repository of laws and acts that directly impact marginalized communities, particularly those at the grassroots level. We understand these groups are often sidelined due to a lack of accessible educational and informational resources. Our goal is to empower them by making crucial legal information readily available and understandable.

Our Mission

Critical Pedagogy & Design
We believe that critical pedagogy and design are interconnected forces that can transform education. By focusing on these areas, we aim to present complex legal information in a way that is easy to comprehend. Through thoughtful design and engaging imagery, we strive to strip away the jargon and present clear, impactful narratives that we hope resonate with our audience. Our approach ensures that the essential details are communicated effectively, making the information more accessible to grassroot communities.
Creating a critical consciousness among grassroots communities is at the heart of what we do. We are committed to initiating and sustaining dialogue that fosters understanding and action. To reach a wider audience, we have launched our newsletter in multiple languages, available both online and in print. This initiative is a step towards testing the waters and understanding the best ways to connect with and support our communities in our fight for rights and recognition.
